Job summary
You will own the accounting close, controls, and management reporting in a project-driven business. You’ll partner closely with the CFO, project managers, suppliers, and banks to deliver timely, accurate IFRS financials.

Key Responsibilities
- Monthly/Quarterly/Year-End Close: Recording expenses, Journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, IFRS adjustments.
- General Ledger & Reconciliations: Bank, cash, MoMo, petty cash; maintain clean subledgers and audit trail.
- AP/AR & Working Capital: Invoices/PO flow, vendor statements, customer aging, credit control, provisions, and dispute resolution.
- Payroll & Statutory Compliance: PAYE, SSNIT, VAT/WHT filings and payments on time;liaison with authorities as needed.
- Fixed Assets: Fixed assets policy, depreciation runs, asset register integrity.
- Cash & Banking: Weekly/monthly cash-flow forecasts, Call/Current account management, bank letters, and guarantees.
- Audit & PBC: Prepare audit schedules, respond to queries, and drive efficient year-end.
- Controls & SOPs: Strengthen segregation of duties; author SOPs for payments, procurement, petty cash, and approvals.
- Systems Ownership: Drive best-practice use of ERP - QuickBooks/Priority.
- Management Reporting: Monthly dashboards to CFO/leadership (profitability, AR/AP, cash, project KPIs).
Qualifications
- CPA/Chartered Accountant - Must.
- 5–8 years of experience in Senior Accountant roles; construction/contracting/infrastructure experience is a strong plus.
- Practical command of IFRS and multi-currency closes.
- Advanced Excel (pivots, lookups, advanced analytics) - Must and will be tested
- Experience with QuickBooks or Priority; Monday.com is a strong plus.
- Excellent English (spoken and written);
- High integrity, precision, pro-activeness, and end-to-end ownership.
