Security Officer

ADVERTISEMENT FOR SECURITY GUARDS

We are looking for reliable and hardworking Security Guards to join our team. The successful

applicants will play essential role in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for

our students, staff and visitors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Patrol assigned areas on campus to ensure safety and prevent unauthorized access.
• Monitor and control access to the Institute’s buildings and facilities.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies and alarms.
• Maintain a visible presence on campus to deter crime and ensure the safety of students, staff and visitors.
• Report any suspicious activities or security breaches to the Security Control Room.
• Ensure all security equipment is functional and perform routine checks.
• Assist in crowd control during events and gatherings.
• Conduct security checks on the Institute’s property, including lecture halls and common areas.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• A Minimum of O’ Level or WASSCE and 2 to 3 years previous work experience in security or law enforcement is preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Knowledge of basic security procedures and protocols.
• Strong communication and skills and the ability to interact professionally with people.
• Physically fit and able to perform security duties that may involve standing, walking and occasional lifting.
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergency situations.
• Attention to detail.
• High sense of integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A clean criminal record and background check are required.
