Role Description The Sales Technician (Solar EPC) is a full-time, on-site role based in Accra, responsible for driving sales of solar solutions while providing technical support to prospective and existing clients. This position involves engaging with residential, commercial, and industrial customers to assess energy needs, prepare proposals, and explain system designs and product options in clear, practical terms. The Sales Technician conducts site visits, coordinates with engineering and installation teams, and ensures accurate information is shared throughout the sales cycle. Daily activities include managing client inquiries, demonstrating solar products, supporting contract negotiations, and following up on leads to close sales. The role also includes delivering basic user training on installed systems, maintaining detailed sales records, and contributing feedback to improve products and customer experience.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to handle inquiries, explain technical concepts, and build lasting client relationships.
- Proven Sales and Negotiation skills to generate leads, develop proposals, and close solar EPC deals effectively.
- Ability to deliver Training to clients on system usage, maintenance basics, and energy efficiency best practices.
- Basic technical understanding of solar power systems, inverters, and battery storage solutions; ability to interpret system designs and specifications.
- Experience in renewable energy, electrical engineering, or a related field is an advantage.
- Comfort with on-site work, including site assessments and coordination with installation teams in Accra.
- Proficiency with productivity tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, CRM software) for managing leads and reporting.
- Relevant diploma or degree in engineering, energy systems, or technical sales preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
