BILINGUAL SALES OFFICER - ENGLISH AND FRENCH

Our client, a leading provider of renewable energy solutions, is seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales Officer to join its growing team.
ROLE PROFILE
The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business development, market penetration, and revenue growth across French-speaking West and Central African markets. The role focuses on promoting renewable energy solutions, including solar power systems, hybrid solutions, and photovoltaic technologies to commercial, industrial, and public-sector clients.
The ideal candidate is a French-speaking sales professional with strong industry knowledge, regional market experience, and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales & Business Development
· Identify, prospect, and convert new business opportunities across Francophone Africa
· Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract signing and post-sales follow-up
· Conduct market segmentation, customer profiling, and territory mapping to support strategic growth
· Deliver persuasive sales pitches, product demonstrations, and technical-commercial presentations to clients
Client Relationship Management
· Build and maintain strong long-term customer relationships with key accounts, distributors, EPCs, government agencies, and corporate buyers
· Provide professional support on product selection, system design options, and energy cost optimisation
· Ensure high client satisfaction and promote repeat business
Market Intelligence & Reporting
· Monitor emerging opportunities, competitor activities, and industry trends across the region
· Provide weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasts, pipeline updates, and market insights to the Country Manager
· Recommend strategies for market entry, pricing, distribution expansion, and product positioning
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
· Work closely with engineering, logistics, customer service, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of orders
· Support marketing teams in organising product promotions, exhibitions, and digital campaigns in Francophone markets
· Liaise with government bodies, regulators, and energy agencies when required
· Perform any other duties as assigned by the Ghana Country Manager or the senior management team
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
· Must have a minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, Marketing, or a related field
· Must have a minimum of 3–5 years’ sales experience, preferably in renewable energy, power solutions, or technical B2B industries
· Fluency in French and English (spoken and written) is mandatory
· Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in multi-country environments
· Strong network within Francophone West & Central African markets is an added advantage
REQUIREMENTS
· Strong understanding of solar PV (Photovoltaic) systems, hybrid solutions, inverters, batteries, and energy efficiency solutions
· Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills
· High level of professionalism, self-motivation, and cultural awareness
· Ability to travel frequently across the Francophone Africa region
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools
· Ability to work independently, demonstrate flexibility, and respond effectively to dynamic market conditions
· Must possess strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills
· Must possess a team spirit and ability to interact with diverse stakeholders in a multicultural context
