Job Summary
The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing client relationships, and expanding the company’s market presence within the building materials and construction sector.
The ideal candidate must have proven experience in the sale and distribution of construction and metal products such as:
- iron rods,
- nails,
- binding wires,
- steel products,
- and related building materials.
The role requires strong market knowledge, customer acquisition ability, relationship management skills, and the capacity to achieve sales targets in a competitive industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within:
- construction companies,
- hardware shops,
- distributors,
- wholesalers,
- contractors,
- and project sites.
- Promote and sell the company’s building material products to existing and prospective clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, contractors, and key industry stakeholders.
- Conduct regular market visits and field sales activities.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and close sales deals.
- Achieve assigned monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing dynamics.
- Follow up on customer orders, deliveries, and payment collections.
- Prepare periodic sales and market intelligence reports.
- Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely product delivery.
- Represent the company professionally in all client engagements.
Requirements
- Minimum of HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, or related field.
- Minimum of 2–5 years proven sales experience in:
- building materials,
- steel products,
- hardware,
- construction materials,
- or related industrial products.
- Strong understanding of the Ghanaian construction and building materials market.
- Existing network within:
- hardware dealers,
- contractors,
- distributors, and construction firms will be a strong advantage.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Must be field-oriented and comfortable with extensive market visits.
