Role Description The Sales and Marketing Specialist role at Merchap Ghana is a full-time, on-site position based in Accra, Kumasi, and Takoradi. This role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with existing clients, and promoting Merchap Ghana’s tissue and cleaning products to target markets. The specialist will conduct market research, develop and execute sales and marketing campaigns, and prepare proposals and quotations for prospective customers. Daily tasks include meeting with clients, responding to inquiries, managing sales pipelines, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve revenue and market growth targets. The role also includes monitoring competitors, gathering customer feedback, and supporting promotional activities to strengthen the Merchap Ghana brand.

Qualifications

• Strong Communication skills, with the ability to present products clearly and build rapport with diverse customers.
• Proven Customer Service experience, demonstrating responsiveness, problem-solving, and client retention.
• Track record in Sales, including lead generation, negotiation, and closing deals in a B2B environment.
• Experience in Training or coaching team members on sales techniques and product knowledge.
• Exposure to Sales Management, including pipeline tracking, reporting, and supporting sales targets.
• Familiarity with basic marketing practices, such as promotional campaigns and social media outreach.
• Comfort working on-site in Accra, with readiness to visit client locations as needed.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is an advantage.
• Previous experience in FMCG, wholesale, or hygiene-related products is beneficial.
