About the Role
BTM Ghana is looking for a dynamic Sales and Marketing Executive who thrives at the intersection of travel operations and business growth.
This is not a behind-the-scenes administrative role; we are looking for a proactive professional who can take marketing-generated leads and convert them into confirmed bookings while actively seeking new business opportunities.
The ideal candidate will be as comfortable navigating a GDS terminal as they are pitching travel solutions to corporate executives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Revenue Generation & Sales
Lead Conversion: Take full ownership of inquiries coming through digital channels, ensuring rapid response times and high conversion rates.
B2B Business Development: Identify and approach corporate organizations to pitch BTM’s travel management services and secure new partnerships.
Consultative Selling: Design tailored travel itineraries, luxury tours, and specialized packages that meet the unique needs of both retail and corporate clients.
2. Marketing & Brand Advocacy
Campaign Alignment: Work closely with the marketing team to ensure sales efforts are synced with ongoing social media campaigns and promotions.
Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends and competitor offerings to provide feedback for the development of competitive travel products.
Client Retention: Execute follow-up strategies to turn one-time travelers into repeat clients and brand advocates.
3. Technical Operations
Reservations & Ticketing: Manage flight bookings, complex re-routings, and ticket issuances via Amadeus or Galileo.
Quality Control: Ensure all bookings and documentation comply with airline policies and international travel regulations to maintain operational excellence.
Candidate Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in the travel and tours industry, with a proven track record in both ticketing and active sales.
Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of at least one major Global Distribution System (GDS)—Amadeus is highly preferred.
Sales DNA: A results-oriented mindset with the ability to negotiate, handle objections, and close deals effectively.
Communication: Exceptional command of English (both written and verbal) with a professional tone suitable for corporate B2B environments.
Education: A Degree in Tourism, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
IATA certification is a plus.
