We’re looking for a QHSE Specialist to work on our Simandou project site. This will be a 12-month fixed term contract.

What you’ll do:
Monitor, maintain and improve site Health, Safety & Environment compliance with client systems, local legislation and Aggreko policy.
Work closely with the Projects Manager, Installation & Commissioning Lead and Site Operations Manager to align Aggreko’s HSE Management System with the client’s HSE requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify HSE training needs, organise and deliver internal QHSE inductions and relevant trainings, maintain training register, calendar and records.
Conduct regular inspections and audits across project facilities and depots, identify risks and recommend improvements.
Lead in-depth investigations for all QHSE incidents, prepare findings and corrective/preventative action plans, and ensure lessons learned are communicated.
Support Risk Identification Reporting and ensure timely follow-up and closure; produce consolidated weekly HSE reports covering risks and incidents.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with the Client Safety Department to ensure full procedural alignment.
Support operational teams to embed safe systems of work and positive safety culture on site.
What we’re looking for:
Diploma/Degree educated in a safety related field of study.
Qualified IOSH or NEBOSH.
Similar experience in a QHSE role, working within the Mining industry.
Fluent command of English and French language.
Valid local driving licence as required by the business.
Knowledge or experience in mechanical and/or electrical disciplines is desirable.
Proven ability to work on your own initiative in remote and demanding site conditions.
Strong communication, investigation, audit and report-writing skills.
