Job Summary
To ensure the timely, within-budget, and high-quality delivery of IT projects across MTN Ghana by coordinating cross-functional teams, removing execution roadblocks, and maintaining delivery momentum, while aligning outcomes with business goals, enterprise transformation, and innovation priorities.

Key Tasks
- Lead and manage small to medium-sized IT infrastructure and enterprise projects, ensuring execution is impact-driven and aligned with strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with the IT Infrastructure Project Manager to define project scope, goals, success criteria, deliverables, and timelines in line with business priorities.
- Track and report on project budgets, spend forecasts, CAPEX commitment, capitalization, change requests, and financial risks, ensuring alignment with MTN’s CAPEX Budget Management Framework.
- Facilitate project planning and implementation meetings, prepare minutes, track actions, and ensure alignment with execution timelines.
- Coordinate the development, review, and submission of key project documentation including Investment Requests, Project Plans of Execution, Progress Reports, closure reports, and stakeholder presentations.
- Communicate project expectations, progress, and risks clearly and consistently to team members and stakeholders.
- Track project risks, issues, and dependencies. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective mitigation and escalation where necessary.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination and secure formal sign-offs from relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate and monitor the execution of assigned tasks by internal staff and vendors, ensuring accountability and adherence to agreed timelines.
- Maintain and update project documentation, including design documents, scope sign-offs, and closure packs in accordance with the Capital Project Management Framework.
- Proactively monitor and communicate changes in project scope, contribute to impact assessments, and support the development of contingency and recovery plans.
- Foster high collaboration and cohesion within the project team, promoting a culture of delivery excellence.
- Coordinate conflict and issue resolution within the team, escalating to the Project Manager where appropriate.
- Contribute to process improvement by capturing lessons learned and promoting better ways of working.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Project Manager, including scheduling, reporting, and stakeholder engagement support.
Education
- Relevant degree in IT, Computer Science, Telecom or a related field.
- Project Management Professional Certification a must
- Experience Minimum 3 years in telecom IT project management.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Training:
- Formal training in project management methodologies such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile.

Technical & Functional Competencies:
- Proficient understanding and knowledge of IT project management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of telecom industry standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in change management and agile methodologies.
- Basic understanding of financial management and budgeting for IT projects.
- Awareness of emerging technologies and their application in IT projects.
