Job summary
The Programme Lead will serve as the primary program leader for BASICS International in Ghana. The role is responsible for overseeing the implementation of BASICS programs, supervising program staff, ensuring quality program delivery, and supporting the organization’s mission to create educational and economic opportunities for youth. The Programme Lead will work closely with leadership to ensure programs are well-managed, impactful, and aligned with BASICS’ long-term vision for community development.

Key Responsibilities
Programme Leadership
- Oversee implementation of BASICS programs and initiatives
- Ensure programs meet organizational goals and quality standards
- Support program planning, monitoring, and evaluation
- Identify opportunities to strengthen and expand program impact
Staff Management
- Supervise program staff including coordinators, facilitators, and program leads
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and accountability to team members
- Support staff development and performance management
Operations & Coordination
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of BASICS programs
- Coordinate schedules, program activities, and staff responsibilities
- Ensure effective communication between program teams
Partnerships & Reporting
- Support collaboration with schools, community leaders, and partner organizations
- Assist with visits from partners, volunteers, and stakeholders
- Provide regular program updates and reports to leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Social Sciences, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing programs or teams
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience working with youth development, education, or community programs preferred
- Ability to manage multiple programs and teams effectively
Note: Preference will be given to candidates who have studied, worked, or had professional exposure in Europe or the United States, as this experience can contribute valuable global perspectives to our programs.
