Position Summary :
As an Operations Project Manager the primary function is to provide operational direction, technical expertise, and training to the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team within energy and telecom infrastructure. The role is responsible for leading managers maintaining telecom networks, ensuring availability, team development, and smooth operations. The position focuses on achieving business goals within budget, meeting SLAs/KPIs, and maintaining high service quality.
Key Responsibilities :
- Control and manage technical teams
- Ensure adherence to fault management processes and customer/internal guidelines
- Manage ongoing team activities, resolve conflicts, problems, and escalations
- Maintain team performance through performance management processes
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Drive continuous performance improvement and support team career development
- Review and optimize departmental processes to meet SLA and service quality
- Manage real-time operations and resource allocation (shift planning, workload, absences)
- Ensure accurate fuel and electricity consumption tracking
- Analyze fuel consumption and reduce losses with Fuel & Fleet Director
- Coordinate with teams, customers, and departments for smooth operations
- Support budget construction and optimization for O&M
- Support presales, sales (RFQ analysis), and legal (contracts)
- Ensure environmental practices (waste management, oil recycling)
Qualifications & Requirement :
- Strong knowledge of telecom infrastructure, power systems, and network fundamentals
- Experience in fuel and electricity management
- Understanding of outage mitigation and telecom power systems
- Experience in 24/7 telecom environments and international settings
- Experience with third-party vendors and telecom equipment providers
- Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills
- Experience in continuous improvement methodologies (PMP, TPM, Six Sigma is a plus)
- Strong IT and Microsoft tools proficiency
- Experience in green energy and power systems
Candidate Profile :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Power or related field)
- At least 10 years of telecom experience, including 5 years as O&M Manager
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Customer-focused with strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to manage performance, discipline, and team motivation
- Capable of working cross-functionally and optimizing project costs
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work in high-pressure, operational environments
