Offloading & Issuing Manager

Job duty:

Job Responsibilities

1. Overall Receiving & Dispatch Operations Management

Oversee end-to-end receiving and dispatch operations for Hardware Group (Heavy Hardware / Light Hardware / General Merchandise)

Adjust operational strategies dynamically based on business fluctuations (peak vs. off-peak)

2. On-site Resource Coordination & Optimization

Allocate manpower, forklifts, and cranes efficiently

Optimize truck loading/unloading sequence (priority: urgent orders / long-waiting trucks)

Manage storage locations and aisles to improve space utilization

3. Efficiency & KPI Management

Monitor key KPIs:

oTruck waiting time

oLoading/unloading efficiency (trucks/hour, items/hour)

o4-hour in-warehouse completion rate

Drive continuous improvement (target ≥ 95%)

4. Exception Management & Risk Control

Lead resolution of major issues (delays, mis-shipments, shortages, damages)

Maintain exception logs and ensure corrective action closure

Reduce operational risks and customer complaints

5. System & Process Management

Ensure proper use of WMS/TMS systems

Align system data with actual operations

Continuously optimize receiving, put-away, and dispatch processes

6. Cross-functional Coordination

Collaborate with Transportation, Sales, and Customer Service teams

Obtain shipment plans in advance to reduce last-minute disruptions

Coordinate resources to support priority orders

7. Team Management & Development

Manage supervisors and frontline teams

Conduct training (safety, system usage, SOPs)

Drive performance evaluation and workforce optimization

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree or above (Logistics/Supply Chain preferred)

Minimum 3 years of warehouse operations management experience in top-tier companies in Ghana

Strong knowledge of warehouse processes; WMS/TMS proficiency preferred

Strong on-site coordination and problem-solving skills

Data-driven with KPI management experience

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Able to work under high-pressure environments
