Job Description/Requirements
Roles and Responsibilities:
Clinical Care:
- Conduct routine medical examinations and assessments of patients.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions and illnesses.
- Prescribe medication, therapy, and other treatment modalities as appropriate.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood tests, X-rays, and imaging studies
- Provide emergency medical care and stabilize critically ill or injured patients.
Patient Management:
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, considering their medical history, symptoms, and preferences.
- Monitor and review patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide ongoing medical management.
- Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients, including medical history, examination findings, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Complete and submit required medical reports, documentation, and billing information in a timely manner.
Compliance and Ethics:
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards of medical practice, including patient confidentiality, informed consent, and respect for patient autonomy.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and protocols governing medical practice and healthcare delivery.
Requirements:
- The prospective candidate should have basic surgical skills and should be prepared to do a 12hour shift.
- Medical Qualification: Degree from a recognized medical school.
- Medical Licensure: Valid medical license or registration to practice as a Medical Officer in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Clinical Experience: Prior experience working as a Medical Officer or in a similar clinical role is preferred, especially in hospital or primary care settings.
- Clinical Skills: Proficiency in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment across a broad spectrum of medical conditions. Competency in emergency medicine and acute care is desirable.
- Professionalism: Commitment to professional integrity, ethical conduct, and patient-centered care.
