Role Description The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and optimizing mechanical systems for residential real estate projects, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other building services. This full-time, on-site role based in Accra involves collaborating closely with architects, civil and electrical engineers, and construction teams to ensure mechanical designs meet safety, regulatory, sustainability, and performance standards. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating mechanical drawings and models, performing calculations and simulations, inspecting installations on site, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring quality control throughout the project lifecycle. The Mechanical Engineer will support project planning and coordination, prepare technical documentation and reports, and contribute to cost estimation and value engineering. The role also includes researching new materials, technologies, and energy-efficient solutions to enhance building performance and occupier comfort.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, including building services and system design.
• Proficiency in Machine Design and related mechanical components used in building systems.
• Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D drawings and 3D modeling.
• Demonstrated Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to conduct Research and Development (R&D) on innovative, energy-efficient, and sustainable mechanical solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field; professional certification or registration is an advantage.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes, safety standards, and industry best practices in Ghana and internationally.
• Experience in real estate, construction, or property development environments is highly beneficial.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and quality.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively on-site with diverse teams.
