A Maintenance & Safeguarding Officer is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of buildings, equipment, and facilities while ensuring safeguarding policies and safety procedures are effectively implemented. The role conducts routine inspections, coordinates maintenance activities, identifies and mitigates risks, responds to maintenance issues, ensures compliance with health and safety regulations, and helps create a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment for all occupants.

Job Description:
- Maintains physical buildings and grounds, protects student safety and welfare, and ensures regulatory compliance .
- Oversee routine, preventative, and reactive maintenance for school buildings, classrooms, and grounds.
- Conduct daily and weekly safety checks on lights, heating/cooling systems, alarms, gates, and fences.
- Manage repairs involving minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, and lock replacements.
- Ensure pathways, fire exits, and drains are clean and clear of hazards.
- Supervise third-party contractors, verify sign-in compliance, and inspect completed work.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of higher National Diploma ( HND ) in Building Technology or related areas
