Job descriptions & requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and facilities.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and structural systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance work.
- Maintain maintenance records and prepare reports.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor maintenance supplies and recommend procurement of materials and spare parts.
- Assist in developing and implementing maintenance schedules.
- Keep the workplace clean, safe, and functional.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma, HND, or vocational certification in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in facility or building maintenance.
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors.
- May involve lifting equipment, climbing ladders, and responding to emergency maintenance issues outside normal working hours.
- Must observe all workplace health and safety procedures.
