The In-House Legal Counsel (3–5 years’ experience) supports the Legal Department in handling company legal matters, including contracts, litigation, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance. Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Assist with ongoing litigation, including preparing court documents and liaising with external counsel.
- Provide internal legal advice on company policies, procedures, and transactions.
- Conduct legal research and prepare position papers and opinions on various legal matters.
- Support regulatory filings and statutory compliance for the company and its affiliates.
- Monitor changes in relevant legislation and regulations and advise management accordingly.
- Participate in internal investigations, audits, and disciplinary processes when required.
- Maintain an organized archive of all legal documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and professional law qualification (BL).
- 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in corporate or commercial legal practice.
- Experience in real estate, construction, or land litigation is an advantage.
- Proficient in legal drafting and interpretation of contracts.
