Job descriptions & requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate commercial washing machines, dryers, and pressing irons safely.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron clothes according to fabric care instructions.
- Keep a strict log of garments received and returned to avoid mixing up items.
- Maintain cleanliness and order within the laundry room.
- Report machine faults or safety issues immediately to the Hostel Manager.
- Manage inventory of detergents, fabric softeners, and laundry supplies.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Basic education certification (BECE/WASSCE) or vocational training.
- Prior experience working in a laundry, hotel, or hostel setting is an advantage.
- Knowledge of fabric types and appropriate washing/ironing techniques.
- High attention to detail to prevent clothing mix-ups or damage.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle heavy laundry loads.
Location: Korle-Bu, Accra, Ghana
Salary: GHS 1,500 – GHS 2,500 per month
