Job Title: IT Specialist (Printer Maintenance)

Job Summary
The IT Specialist (Printer Maintenance) is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of printers and related peripherals within the company. The role ensures stable operation of printing equipment, effective management of spare parts and consumables, and timely coordination with internal departments and suppliers to support daily office operations.
Key Responsibilities
Printer Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of printers and related peripherals.
- Handle daily repair requests and ensure timely resolution of equipment faults.
- Monitor printer performance and reduce equipment downtime.
Consumables and Spare Parts Management
- Manage the daily distribution of printer consumables such as ink cartridges, ribbons, and toner cartridges.
- Maintain records and statistics of departmental consumable usage and demand.
- Coordinate procurement requests and track procurement progress.
Inventory and Stock Management
- Manage inbound and outbound records for spare parts and consumables.
- Maintain appropriate safety stock levels to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Equipment Repair and Lifecycle Management
- Follow up on local and outsourced repair processes.
- Manage equipment lifecycle records, including maintenance history and replacement planning.
- Assess the reasonableness of repair requests and manage warranty-related issues.
Procurement and Vendor Coordination
- Liaise with headquarters administrative procurement for material coding applications and procurement processes.
- Coordinate the sourcing and delivery of local and imported printer consumables and spare parts.
IT Support and Infrastructure Assistance
- Provide basic desktop maintenance and troubleshooting for office computers.
- Support structured cabling and basic network infrastructure within the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 1–3 years of experience in printer maintenance, IT support, or related technical roles.
- Familiarity with printer hardware, consumables management, and basic troubleshooting.
- Experience with inventory management or spare parts management is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and network cabling.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
