Role Description The Informal Sector Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Twifo/Hemang/Lower Denkyira District. The role involves identifying and engaging prospective clients in the informal sector, explaining life assurance products, and building strong, trust-based relationships. The Sales Manager will lead sales initiatives, develop and implement outreach strategies, and manage a portfolio of clients to achieve sales targets. Daily responsibilities include conducting field visits, organizing community-based sales activities, providing after-sales support, and maintaining accurate records of client interactions and policies. The role also requires close collaboration with internal teams to share market insights, support product improvement, and ensure excellent customer service throughout the policy lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or field marketing, ideally within the financial services or insurance sector.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse informal sector clients.
- Ability to plan and execute outreach campaigns, manage territories, and work toward clear sales targets and performance goals.
- Comfort with on-site, community-based work, including regular field visits and client meetings within the district.
- Basic proficiency with documentation and reporting tools, and the ability to maintain accurate records of sales activities.
- Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and customer-focused mindset, with a commitment to financial inclusion and protection.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is an advantage; comparable experience may be considered.
- Fluency in English and local languages commonly spoken in the Twifo/Hemang/Lower Denkyira District is highly beneficial.
