Job Description: Document Officer (Import)
Location: Accra, Ghana
Employment Type: Permanent / Full-Time
I. Position Objective
The Document Specialist is responsible for the precise management of import-related documentation and the real-time updating of tracking systems. This role ensures that all goods entering the country are declared accurately within national customs frameworks and that internal stakeholders have access to up-to-date logistics data.
II. Key Responsibilities
•
Customs Declaration (ICUMS): Execute and manage import declarations within the Integrated Customs Management System (ICUMS), ensuring all data entries are accurate and compliant with national regulations.

Systems Management (CMS): Perform regular updates to the Content Management System (CMS) to reflect the current status of shipments and documentation.
•
Data Tracking: Maintain and update comprehensive Google Sheets and internal trackers to provide real-time visibility on logistics progress.
•
Administrative Support: Execute other related tasks and documentation duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager to support the department's operational flow.
III. Candidate Specifications & Requirements
•
Education: Must be a Degree Holder (preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field).
•
Technical Knowledge: * Familiarity with Import procedures and documentation is essential.
o
Previous experience with ICUMS (Integrated Customs Management System) is a significant advantage.
•
Software Proficiency: * Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
o
Proficiency in using Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Drive).
•
Soft Skills & Attitude: * Must be proactive and ready to learn new systems and evolving trade technologies.
o
High attention to detail to ensure error-free data entry.
