Qualification Required & Experience

• A minimum of HND or degree in hydraulic engineering or mechanical engineering (candidates with specialization in hydraulic preferred)
• A minimum of two (2) years work experience as hydraulic eng/mechanical eng.
• Knowledge of technical calculations required for mechanical operations
• Advanced knowledge in computer skills
  

QHSE

• Carry out assigned duties in a safe manner according to company policies and procedures
• Actively participate in weekly safety meetings and pre-tour meetings as required
• Report any incidents, potential hazards or abnormal situations to supervisor and other department heads
• Ensure that all relevant safety procedures and practices are adhered to during mechanical work
  

Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic installation, maintenance, and repair in a sale and prudent manner
• Maintain and repair mechanical systems and equipment ie. Pime motors, air and water system, lubrications and fuel systems
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment and tools
• Assist in maintaining marine equipment i.e. cranes, thrusters, ballast pumps and valves, auxiliary equipment etc
• Carry out periodic maintenance according to the Rig Maintenance Systems (RMS) guidelines and co-ordinate that maintenance supervisor and other department heads
• Experience with lathe, drill press grinding and surfacing equipment.
• Assist in ensuring that all third-party equipment is fit for purpose, certified, correctly installed and maintained while on the rig.
