Health & Safety Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily occupational health and safety activities across the factory and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identification, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Conduct Toolbox Talks, safety training, and HSE induction training for new employees.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.
• Monitor the proper use of PPE and inspect machinery, equipment, tools, and work areas for safety compliance.
• Develop and maintain HSE procedures, SOPs, emergency plans, and safe work practices.
• Organize fire drills, emergency response exercises, and evacuation drills.
• Support internal HSE audits and maintain relevant safety records and documentation.
• Monitor safety performance and prepare regular HSE reports for management.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Warehouse, and HR teams to continuously improve the factory’s safety culture.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Health & Safety/HSE, preferably in a manufacturing or factory environment.
• Good knowledge of risk assessment, accident investigation, workplace inspections, safety training, and emergency response.
• Familiarity with PPE, Permit to Work, LOTO, Fire Safety, and safe work procedures.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and incident investigation skills.
• Ability to independently conduct safety inspections, training, and HSE reporting.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or other relevant HSE certifications will be an advantage.
• Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work effectively in a production environment.
