1. Supervise and implement the company’s health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
2. Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify hazards and unsafe practices.
3. Ensure employees comply with health and safety rules, procedures, and applicable regulations.
4. Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate control measures.
5. Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, incidents, and near misses and prepare reports.
6. Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions following safety incidents.
7. Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and regular health and safety training for employees.
8. Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure availability where required.
9. Ensure machinery, equipment, tools, and work areas meet required safety standards.
10. Monitor safe working practices in production, maintenance, warehouse, and other operational areas.
11. Coordinate emergency preparedness, fire safety, evacuation drills, and first-aid arrangements.
12. Maintain accurate records of accidents, incidents, inspections, risk assessments, and safety training.
13. Liaise with management and relevant departments to address identified safety concerns.
14. Monitor contractors and visitors to ensure compliance with site health and safety requirements.
15. Ensure proper signage, emergency exits, fire extinguishers, and other safety equipment are maintained.
16. Conduct regular checks on fire protection systems, first-aid facilities, and emergency equipment.
17. Monitor workplace conditions such as noise, dust, ventilation, lighting, and chemical exposure where applicable.
18. Promote a strong safety culture and encourage employees to report hazards and unsafe conditions.
19. Prepare and submit regular health and safety reports to management.
20. Ensure compliance with relevant occupational health and safety laws, standards, and company requirements.
21. Stop or recommend stopping unsafe work where there is an immediate risk to employees or property.
22. Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure safety-related issues are promptly resolved.
23. Perform any other health, safety, and environmental duties assigned by management.
