Head of School/Creative Arts Teacher

Responsibilities of the Head Teacher:

• Supervise and direct teachers in teaching and learning, and ensure adherence to school policies and procedures.
• Supervise teachers in the preparation of weekly lesson notes, long/short term forecasts, and delivery of early childhood curriculum.
• Ensure teacher lesson plans, supply requests, etc., are completed and vetted on time.
• Take the lead with classroom curriculum planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provide direction for teaching staff in classroom management when needed.
• Implement appropriate standards for children’s discipline and behavior.
• Manage teachers in the assessment, monitoring and maintaining of accurate records of children’s progress and the preparation of termly reports.
• Ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of extracurricular activities.
• Improve and maintain quality standards.
• Maintain confidentiality, and meet strict deadlines at all time
• Liaise with outside agencies e.g. GES

Responsibilities For Creative Arts Teacher:

• Planning lessons on art and art history in accordance with students' learning objectives.
• Preparing the classroom by gathering and setting up equipment.
• Developing students dance, drama, music and visual arts techniques.
• Teaching students about art history.
• Assigning and grading projects and examinations.
• Recording and reporting on students' progress.
• Ensuring that the classroom is clean after each lesson.
• Monitoring inventory and sourcing art supplies, as needed.
• Attending faculty and parent-teacher meetings.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Competences For Head of School

• Minimum of a Degree in Education
• Five (5) years or more work experience in education management

Requirements For Creative Arts Teacher:

• A minimum of a Degree required
• At least 1-3 years working experience
