Job summary

The Head of Finance will have overall responsibility for the financial management of the institution, ensuring accurate accounting, timely financial reporting, effective budgeting, proper reconciliations, treasury oversight, tax compliance, and coordination of audit activities.

Job descriptions & requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the institution's accounting and financial reporting functions.
  • Prepare and review periodic financial statements and management reports.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and financial planning process.
  • Monitor income, expenditure, cash flow, and financial performance.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of bank, ledger, and other financial accounts.
  • Provide oversight of treasury and liquidity management.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable tax and financial reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit processes.
  • Monitor financial controls and recommend improvements where necessary.
  • Provide management with financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure accurate and timely regulatory financial returns.

Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • ICAG, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
  • 5–7 years' relevant experience, including senior finance/accounting responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, reconciliations, and financial controls.
  • Excellent analytical and leadership abilities.
