About Earthworm

Earthworm is a group of people who believes we can solve the big issues affecting people and nature today. We work in global supply chains impacting millions of people and places around the world to make the products we buy. We work on the ground, in forests, fields and factories, helping companies, farmers and communities find practical solutions together. And we know that, ultimately, trust and positive changes comes from people getting to work together, hands in the soil.

Your Role

Your primary responsibilities as the Regional GIS Manager will be to:

  • Lead and manage the regional GIS team: Provide strategic direction and effective line management for GIS staff across Earthworm Foundation's African offices, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting professional development. Collaborate with the Global GIS Lead and other Regional GIS Managers to align regional priorities with global objectives.
  • Coordinate GIS support for field programmes: Oversee the delivery of GIS expertise for landscape programmes, participatory land-use planning initiatives and member-specific supply chain projects across Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire and Cameroon. Ensure the effective use of geospatial analysis to support programme implementation and strategic decision-making

We are looking for a strategic and analytical professional with substantial experience in GIS, remote sensing and geospatial data management. You should have a strong understanding of land-use change, deforestation monitoring and geospatial applications in agricultural supply chains, particularly cocoa and palm oil.

You should have demonstrated experience in managing teams, coordinating complex projects and overseeing large geospatial databases. Strong technical expertise in GIS tools and spatial analysis, coupled with the ability to translate complex geospatial information into practical insights, will be essential.

We value professionals who demonstrate initiative, sound judgement and the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and geographical locations. You should be comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, managing competing priorities and aligning technical deliverables with organisational objectives.
