Gender & Social Inclusion Advisor

NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the implementation of the EU funded project called: Higher Education System Strengthening Project II – Somalia and is searching for experts to support the core team during the implementation of this project.

The overall objective of this assignment is to strengthen the capacity of the higher education system for enhanced coordination, regulation and sustainability of interventions in Somalia.

Location: Mogadishu, Somalia.

Duration: The intended start date is 1st October 2026 and the period of implementation of the contract will be 36 months from this date.

Non-Key Expert: Gender & Social Inclusion Advisor (junior)

☝️ Minimum Qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in gender studies, sociology, social work, development or a related field.
• Training in gender mainstreaming and social inclusion.
• Understanding of barriers faced by wmn., yth, persons with disabilities and marginalised groups in accessing education.

☝️Specific professional experience:

• At least 5 years’ experience designing and implementing gender and social‑inclusion strategies in development programmes.
• Experience conducting gender analyses and developing policies and action plans to address inequities.
• Experience designing and delivering training and awareness campaigns on gender equality and inclusion.
• Familiarity with international standards and donor requirements on gender and inclusion.
