KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Platform Evolution: Maintain, scale, and extend existing gaming platforms across USSD, web, mobile, and API layers.

• Feature Development: Architect and deploy new promotional gammg features and interactive user experiences.

• Integrations: Lead technical integrations with third-party partners, including payment gateways, SMS aggregators, and media platforms.

• System Integrity: Proactively improve system reliability, performance, and security to ensure 24/7 uptime for live, high-transaction campaigns.

• Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Operations teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

• Technical Support: Provide Tier-2 support for live systems and participate actively in incident resolution and debugging.

CORE TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Backend Development: Strong proficiency in Python; experience with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI; and a solid understanding of asynchronous processing and background jobs ( e.g., Celery/Redis ).

• Frontend Development: Advanced experience with React.js and working knowledge of Next.js (SSR, SSG, and API routes). Ability to translate UI/UX designs into responsive interfaces.

• Database Management: Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MariaDB) and NoSQL (MongoDB). Ability to design schemas and optimize quenes.

• Infrastructure: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker), and basic Linux server environment management.

• Security: Understanding of application security best practices (OAuth, JWT) and data protection controls related to fintech/gaming.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant professional certifications are an added advantage but not mandatory.

EXPERIENCE & SOFT SKILLS

• Experience Level: 2-4 years of hands-on software development experience.

• Industry Context: Prior experience with gaming, fintech, USSD, or high-transaction platforms is a strong advantage.

• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, clear documentation habits, and a willingness to support live systems in a production-driven environment.
