The role
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you won't wait for a perfect spec. You'll go to the client, sit with their teams, learn how they really work, then design and ship the software that fixes it. You own the whole loop: discovery, data model, build, rollout, and support.
Your first project is a sales platform for a major lift and elevator company. It takes a lead from first enquiry to supplier order and generates quotations, technical data sheets and design documents automatically. Live in January 2027.
What you'll do
- Run working sessions with client teams and turn messy processes into clean data models
- Build full-stack features: workflows, roles, approvals, status tracking
- Generate documents (PDF quotations, data sheets) from one source of truth
- Integrate with email, maps and other third-party services
- Train users, gather feedback, and ship improvements fast
- Choose the right tools for each project, with us
You have
- 3–5 years building and shipping full-stack web apps
- Strong frontend, backend and database skills, in whatever stack you're best at
- Experience integrating third-party APIs
- Confidence in front of clients: you ask good questions and explain technical things simply
- Ownership: you take a problem from "what's going on here?" to "it's live"
Nice to have
Mobile development, automation tools, or experience using AI in products.
