SIMOSCO GH COMPANY LIMITED is recruiting on behalf of a leading multinational canned tuna manufacturer in Seychelles. The company operates within one of the country’s most important industries, which ranks second in the national economy after tourism.
We are seeking a highly experienced Fishmeal Technician to join the maintenance team and support the smooth operation of fishmeal processing equipment.
Role Purpose
The Fishmeal Technician will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing fishmeal processing equipment to minimise downtime and ensure safe working conditions across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance on all fishmeal equipment.
- Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns promptly.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on specialised equipment including:
- Crusher, Cooker, Wet Mill, Twin Press, Drier, Hammer Mill, Tricanter and Oil Separator
- Maintain and repair factory and site lighting, ensuring failures are addressed quickly.
- Install new equipment as part of ongoing projects.
- Ensure adequate MRO spare parts stock is maintained.
- Follow all company procedures and safety policies.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe working environment.
- Carry out any additional duties assigned by line management.
Qualifications
Minimum HND or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Experience
At least 3 years’ post-qualification experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in the food and beverage industry is an advantage.
Hands-on experience with fishmeal equipment and processes.
Strong background in preventive maintenance of mechanical systems.
