Job Summary
The Fish Farm Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day management of fish ponds or cages, monitoring fish growth and health, ensuring proper feeding schedules, managing farm workers, and maintaining records on production and inventory. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in aquaculture operations and strong leadership and organizational skills.

Job Description/Requirements
- Supervise all daily farm operations including feeding, cleaning, grading, and harvesting.
- Monitor fish health and behavior, and report disease symptoms or abnormal activities.
- Ensure that water quality parameters (DO, pH, temperature, turbidity, etc.) are checked regularly and remain within optimal ranges.
- Manage breeding, stocking, and fingerling transfers.
- Maintain accurate records on fish growth, feed usage, mortality, and harvest yields.
- Assign daily duties and supervise farm workers and technicians.
- Train and guide staff on fish handling, feeding, and farm hygiene.
- Ensure that all safety and biosecurity protocols are followed.
- Coordinate shift schedules and maintain discipline among workers.
- Monitor feed stock levels and request replenishments on time.
- Ensure efficient and accurate feed distribution to avoid waste.
- Record feed consumption and calculate feed conversion ratios (FCR).
- Supervise maintenance of farm equipment, nets, and cages.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on production, growth, and harvest performance.
- Assist in implementing farm improvement strategies to increase productivity.
- Maintain compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Aquaculture, Fisheries Science, Agriculture, or related field.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in fish farm operations (preferably tilapia )
- Strong understanding of aquaculture cage systems
- Knowledge of fish diseases, water quality management, and feed formulation is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
