Fast Food Sales Representative
Job summary
The Fast Food Sales Representative is responsible for delivering excellent customer service while efficiently handling sales transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. This role involves taking customer orders, preparing or packaging food items, processing payments, and maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards. The representative serves as the face of the brand, ensuring customers have a positive and satisfying experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Sales:
- Greet customers promptly and courteously
- Take customer orders accurately, in person and through drive-thru or digital platforms
- Provide information about menu items, promotions, and specials
- Upsell or suggest add-on items to increase sales
- Resolve customer complaints or concerns professionally and promptly
- Ensure a positive, friendly, and efficient customer experience
Order Processing & Payment:
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to process orders and payments
- Handle cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments, and vouchers accurately
- Issue receipts and manage correct change
- Maintain accuracy in order entry and order delivery
Food Handling & Preparation:
- Assemble, package, or prepare food items according to company standards
- Ensure food quality, portion control, and presentation standards are met
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Monitor food holding times and freshness
Store Operations & Cleanliness:
- Maintain cleanliness of service counters, dining areas, and workstations
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking
- Replenish supplies such as packaging, condiments, and utensils
- Follow health, safety, and security procedures
Teamwork & Compliance:
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and fellow sales representatives
- Follow company policies, procedures, and operational standards
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings
- Adhere to workplace safety and food handling regulations
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience:
- Prior experience in fast food, retail, or customer service is an advantage but not required
- On-the-job training is typically provided
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Basic math and cash-handling skills
