Factory Manager

UpMan Placements is Hiring | Factory Manager – Plastic Disposable Manufacturing (Africa)

We are looking for a highly hands-on, result-driven Factory Manager to independently lead end-to-end manufacturing operations for plastic disposable cups, lids & microwave-safe products at our facility in Accra, Ghana.

This role is not for desk managers. We need someone who can set machines, troubleshoot independently, optimize processes, and drive numbers on the shop floor.

🔧 Mandatory Technical Exposure

Sunwell & RR Sheet Extruders

Sunwell, Kuzy, Inpak, GT Thermoforming Machines

CMK Lid Machines

Strong expertise in sheet extrusion & thermoforming

Ability to operate without OEM dependency is critical

Key Responsibilities

• Complete ownership of production, maintenance, quality, manpower & cost

• Improve machine uptime, productivity & efficiency

• Reduce rejection, wastage & downtime

• Preventive & breakdown maintenance (extruders, thermoformers, lid machines, utilities)

• Ensure food-grade & microwave-safe quality standards

• Lead supervisors, operators, technicians & shifts

• Control raw material, scrap, regrind & inventory

• Daily MIS on production, downtime, rejection & wastage

Who Should Apply

• Very fluent English communication (mandatory)

• Highly proactive, assertive & aggressive in achieving targets

• Strong leadership, accountability & problem-solving mindset

• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced factory environment

Qualification & Experience

• BE / BTech – Plastics / Mechanical / Production

• 8–15 years in plastic disposable / food packaging manufacturing

• 3–5 years as Factory / Plant Manager

• Africa / overseas exposure preferred
