Event Planner
Job summary
The Event Planner is responsible for the end-to-end planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of the Church’s programs, activities, and Annual Convention. The role involves working closely with clients, internal teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure events are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Must be highly organized, creative, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple events and priorities simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute events from concept through completion.
- Develop event concepts, themes, programs, schedules, and operational plans.
- Prepare and manage event budgets, quotations, purchase orders, and expenses.
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and coordinate vendors and service providers.
- Source and coordinate venues, catering, décor, entertainment, audiovisual services, transportation, accommodation, and other event requirements.
- Coordinate internal teams, external suppliers, sponsors, speakers, guests, and other stakeholders.
- Manage event logistics, including setup, registration, guest management, seating, equipment, and event breakdown.
- Conduct site visits and venue inspections where required.
- Ensure events comply with relevant health, safety, security, and organizational requirements.
- Identify potential risks and develop appropriate contingency plans.
- Monitor event activities on-site and resolve issues promptly.
Qualification and Experience
- Master’s degree in project management, Event Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related discipline.
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, Event Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Professional certification in Project Management, such as PMP, or an equivalent qualification is an advantage.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in project coordination, event planning, church programs, ministry activities, or related areas.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, coordinating, budgeting, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating church activities and events.
- Experience working with pastors, ministry leaders, volunteers, vendors, and church departments is highly desirable.
