Electrical Engineer Wanted For Empoyment By Energy Commission

The
Energy Commission seeks results-oriented individuals for the above position.
Job Purpose
The job holder will assist the Head of Energy Efficiency and Promotion in executing energy efficiency projects.
Key Responsibilities

• Assist in formulating technical proposals and monitoring energy efficiency projects
• Assist in developing and implementing projects in collaboration with relevant agencies in efficient energy production, transmission and distribution
• Assist in the elaboration of rules and regulations to ensure standards and proper labeling regime for appliances
• Explore opportunities of climate-related financing mechanisms to finance energy efficiency project
• Make appropriate recommendations relating to the efficiency and effectiveness of energy efficient projects
  

Qualification Required Or Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Masters Degree in Economics, Finance or related discipline with at least 2 years relevant post qualification experience in the energy sector
  

Competencies

• Knowledge in research and analytical techniques
• Knowledge in Project Management and Evaluation
• High computer proficiency
• Good knowledge of the role of other regulators in the energy sector
• Competencies in report writing and presentation
• Ability to work with little or no supervision
• Team player and good interpersonal relations
• Ability to travel and work in remote areas of Ghana
• Self-motivated and proactive
