General Description
The Director of Finance provides strategic financial leadership and serves as the chief financial advisor to the Vice-Chancellor. The role encompasses oversight of all financial operations, ensuring the integrity, stability, stability and sustainability of the University's financial resources

Qualification Required & Experience
- Minimum Academic and professional requirements
- A master's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
- Mandatory professional certification ACCA, CIMA, CPA or ICA
- A minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience, with progressively responsible senior management roles in finance and administration preferably in a large, complex organization
- Experience within a multi-campus university system will be an advantage
Technical Knowledge & Skills
- Strong expertise in financial, accounting and service management systems
- Proficiency in the use f modern accounting software packages
- Knowledge of resource allocation models, revenue enhancement strategies and financial planning tools
- Ability to participate actively in planning and major policy decisions at the institutional level
- Familiarity with the regulatory environment for tertiary institutions and fund management or demonstrable ability to acquire such knowledge quickly
