Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Credit Risk Specialist role based in Winneba. The Credit Risk Specialist will evaluate the creditworthiness of existing and prospective clients by analyzing financial statements, cash flows, and other relevant data. The role involves assessing credit exposure, setting or recommending credit limits, and monitoring portfolios for early warning signs of credit deterioration. The specialist will prepare clear, well-structured credit reports and risk assessments for internal review and decision-making. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining up-to-date client records, collaborating with finance and business development teams, supporting the development and refinement of credit risk policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Credit and Credit Risk Management, with experience evaluating borrowers, setting credit limits, and monitoring credit exposure.
- Proficiency in Risk Management and Analytical Skills, including financial analysis, ratio interpretation, and use of data to support risk decisions.
- Solid understanding of Finance principles, financial statements, and cash flow dynamics as they relate to credit decisions.
- Relevant academic background, such as a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work with numerical data and documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and presenting credit recommendations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple cases or portfolios simultaneously.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial analysis tools; experience with risk or credit management systems is an advantage.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., risk management or credit analysis) are a plus.
