Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual or group counselling sessions to address emotional, behavioral, or psychological challenges.
- Assess client's needs, issues, and progress through interviews, observation, and psychological tests where applicable.
- Develop tailored treatment plans and therapeutic goals for clients.
- Maintain confidential client records and case notes in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Provide crisis intervention support and coping strategies during critical situations.
- Refer clients to other health or support services when necessary.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals such as psychologists, social workers, and educators.
- Organize workshops or seminars on mental health awareness, stress management, or personal development.
- Stay updated with developments in counselling practices, mental health trends, and ethical standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Valid certification or licensure as a professional counsellor (if applicable in your region).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in counselling or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Empathetic, patient, and non-judgmental demeanor.
