Job Summary
The service of a Chinese Translator is urgently needed for immediate employment. Primarily, the selected candidate will report to the assigned supervisor in charge, and he or she will be responsible for translating and interpreting oral and verbal Chinese language into English [and Twi, where applicable] while retaining the core ideas and information from the original source.
- Minimum Qualification: Diploma
- Experience Level: Mid level
- Experience Length: 2 years
Job Description/Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Â
- Translates Chinese intermediate to advanced level printed materials into English Language
- You will assist with communication between local staff and Chinese-speaking staff.
- Ensure the translated content conveys the original meaning and tone from source.
- You will be required to perform any other task assigned to you by your supervisor.Â
Requirement:
- An academic certificate in any field of study is not a must but an added advantage.
- A Candidate who is fluent in the local language precisely Twi, will be given an upper edge favorable advantage.
- Must have a solid understanding of computers with experience in the application and use of Microsoft Office and other basic software.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Give attention to detail.
- Proficiency Level: Very Fluent in ChineseÂ
Work Environment:
A Chinese language translator at Denker Industrial Limited may be assigned to any department where his or her service will be needed and may be rotated to a different unit at any given time. You will work in shifts that last 8 hours, and you will work on weekends and holidays. You must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able work in a rural area setting.Â
Conditions:
- You will work normal office hours Monday to Saturday [08:00am - 05:30pm]. You may be required to work on other non-working days as overtime, to meet deadlines.
