Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Architect position based in Accra, Ghana. The successful candidate will support the design and delivery of residential, commercial, healthcare, and institutional projects from concept through construction. The Architect will prepare architectural designs and technical documentation, develop BIM models, coordinate multidisciplinary consultants, and ensure all project deliverables meet Fridoug’s quality standards and statutory requirements.

The role requires extensive use of Revit, AutoCAD and BIM workflows, including model coordination, clash detection, construction documentation and collaboration with structural, MEP, quantity surveying and site teams. As Fridoug is a design-and-build construction company, the successful candidate must be willing to relocate to project sites as projects progress into the construction phase and actively participate in site supervision, coordination meetings and construction support.

The Architect will also contribute to project planning, client presentations, design reviews, construction detailing, and continuous improvement of the company’s digital design standards and BIM processes.

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.

* Registered Architect with the Ghana Institute of Architects (GIA) or equivalent professional registration is preferred.

* Minimum 5 years of professional experience working on residential, commercial and healthcare (hospital) projects.

* Demonstrated experience taking projects from concept design through construction.

* Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD (mandatory).

* Extensive knowledge and practical experience using Building Information Modelling (BIM) for design coordination and documentation.

* Strong understanding of construction detailing, technical documentation and local building regulations.

* Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams including structural, MEP and quantity surveying consultants.

* Ability to prepare construction drawings, schedules and specifications to a high standard.

* Excellent project coordination, organisational and time management skills.

* Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, consultants and contractors.

* Experience working within a construction or design-and-build environment is highly desirable.

* Willingness to travel and relocate to project sites within Ghana as required during construction phases.

* Experience with additional software such as Navisworks, Rhino, Enscape, Dynamo or other BIM coordination tools will be considered an advantage.
