The Role Of The Human Resource Officer
- Responsible for the co-ordination of all recording and verification in the balance sheet account reconciliation process and fixed asset control
- Prepare and maintain up-to-date accounts using the prescribed accounting software
- Prepare monthly general ledger account balance reconciliations including reconciliation of both local currency and Forex bank accounts
- Ensure all general ledger accounts are properly headed and classified in the appropriate fund's balance sheet
- Reconcile the movement of all gaming proceeds
- Keep abreast of and advise management on changes in local accounting regulations
- Prepare and maintain payroll and submit timely PAYE, and other mandatory payments
- Prepare and maintain VAT account and submit monthly returns which are in agreement with the up-to-date general ledger and records (if applicable)
- Prepare all accounts in time for a quarterly audit
- Code and process fixed assets and related fixed asset journal entries in accordance with accounting policies
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual fixed asset reports including general ledger reconciliations, roll-forward schedules, additions, disposals and depreciation expense
- Assess all accounting documents and ensure that they are correct for the purpose of posting to the account
- Maintain all accounting source documents in an orderly fashion
- Keep the Manager in charge of Administration informed of all pertinent information regarding financial reports
- Effectively prioritise workload in order to accomplish most urgent tasks first
Qualification Required & Experience
- Must be a qualified accountant from a recognized institution with a minimum of 2 years working experience
- Must be able to multitask and organise
