The German International School Accra is one of 140 recognized schools abroad that were set up by the Federal Republic of Germany together with local school associations to promote the German language and culture abroad.

As a "recognized German school abroad" in the network of German schools abroad, we offer our students a comprehensive range of education from kindergarten to the Realschule certificate and the Cambridge certificate. The school can now look back on more than 50 years of history. After eventful times, the school has now developed into an international German-speaking school with an international student body. The continuous work on the further development of the school led to the award of the seal of quality "Excellent German School Abroad" by the Federal President in 2016.  

We are proud of our green school grounds, the well-equipped classrooms and specialist rooms, an extensive range of extracurricular activities in the areas of sports, music, theater and natural sciences and a competent and committed staff.
