Welding Inspector

RINA is looking for experienced Welding Inspector to perform inspection activities on behalf of RINA for our esteemed clients in Ghana.

Requested:

• Welding Inspector (min. 15 years) with experience in Vendor shop inspection visits; Inspectors should have inspection experience at the vendor’s premises. Experience may cover daily inspections or short term/long term project inspections on behalf of clients or third party inspections;
• Welding certificates required: CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-Certified welding inspector certificate
• NDT (MT, PT, RT, UT) Level 2 in accordance with ISO 9712.
• Ability to prepare daily/weekly inspection reports;
• Adequate level of English for reporting, understanding international standards/codes, and communicating with clients in case of need;
• Being a freelancer inspector or part of inspectors agency/society; the inspector or the company should be able to invoice the service;

Job description:

• Perform inspection activities as per ITP and project requirements
• Material certificate reviews, material verification and traceability
• Witness welding qualifications at site (lab testing is not covered by this RFI/assignment)
• Verify readiness for PPM and perform site quality walks
• Witness fabrication activities with special focus on fit-up verification, welding activities and NDT on welds – inclusive of CRA pipe welding.
• Witness FAT
• Witness Final Inspection and prepare release note
• Monitor packing and load-out
• Review and endorse MRB at site
