Role Description The Sourcer role is a part-time, remote position based in Sunyani. The Sourcer will identify, engage, and build pipelines of promising candidates for various roles within the organization and partner initiatives, with a particular focus on IT positions. Day-to-day tasks include researching talent markets, mapping relevant networks, screening profiles, and maintaining accurate candidate data in internal systems. The role involves collaborating with hiring managers to understand role requirements, drafting and posting job advertisements, and conducting initial outreach and pre-screening conversations. The Sourcer will also support employer branding and outreach activities, such as partnering with universities, youth organizations, and events to strengthen the organization’s talent ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in talent sourcing or recruitment coordination, including candidate research, outreach, and pipeline management.
- Strong skills in online research and use of digital platforms (e.g., job boards, professional networks, social media) to identify and engage prospective candidates.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences and maintain respectful, inclusive interactions.
- Organizational and time management skills, including attention to detail, ability to handle multiple requisitions, and consistent documentation of candidate information.
- Interest in or exposure to youth empowerment, public policy, entrepreneurship, or nonprofit work, especially within African contexts.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, receive feedback constructively, and contribute to a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Proficiency with common office and collaboration tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets, applicant tracking systems or databases) and willingness to learn new systems.
- Relevant post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field, or comparable practical experience.
