Job Overview
Mojo Payments Ltd is seeking a results-driven Product Manager to lead the development and scaling of our digital payments ecosystem. The role focuses on building innovative, secure, and scalable fintech products tailored to the Ghanaian and African market, with a strong emphasis on mobile money, merchant solutions, and payment integrations.
The ideal candidate will combine strong product thinking with hands-on execution, working closely with engineering, operations, and business teams to deliver impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the product roadmap aligned with Mojo’s strategic objectives
- Lead product development across payment solutions including:
- Mobile money integrations (MTN, Telecel, AirtelTigo)
- Merchant payment solutions (POS, QR, payment links)
- API-based payment services for partners
- Gather and translate business, regulatory, and customer requirements into product features
- Work closely with engineering (DevOps, backend, integrations) to deliver scalable solutions
- Ensure compliance with Bank of Ghana regulations, including KYC, AML, and data protection
- Manage third-party integrations (banks, switches, telcos, aggregators)
- Monitor product performance (transactions, success rates, uptime) and optimize continuously
- Collaborate with commercial teams on pricing, partnerships, and go-to-market execution
- Drive user experience improvements for both merchants and end-users
- Stay updated on fintech trends across Africa and identify growth opportunities
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, Finance, or related field
- 4–8+ years of product management experience, preferably in fintech/payments
- Strong understanding of:
- Mobile money ecosystems in Ghana
- Payment flows (collections, disbursements, settlements)
- APIs and system integrations
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder management (internal + external partners)
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with payment gateways, switches, or financial institutions
- Familiarity with Bank of Ghana compliance requirements
- Experience in startup or high-growth fintech environments
- Technical understanding of microservices, APIs, and cloud infrastructure
- Exposure to reconciliation, settlement, and fraud prevention systems
