Job descriptions & requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Promote and sell the company’s products to assigned customers including retailers, Wholesalers, and institutions.
  • Identify new opportunities and grow business in the territory.
  • Ensure new product penetration


Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong engagement with existing and new customers.
  • Ensure timely follow-ups for payment within the agreed credit period.
  • Ensure payment is received as per outstanding without any discrepancy


Product Knowledge & Promotion

  • Stay well-versed in product features, pricing, and competitors.
  • Conduct product detailing and sampling
  • Educate customers on proper storage and handling.

Market Intelligence


  •  Report competitor activities, market shifts, and customer preferences.
  • Share feedback for pricing, product development, and demand planning.

 Issue Escalation & Resolution


  •  Identify and escalate concerns to managers such as:
  • Goods return (damage, incorrect, near-expiry)
  • Quality issues
  • Pricing or discount discrepancies
  • Follow up for resolution as per company SOP and communicate to customers
  • Keep records of all escalated issues and resolutions.


Tender Participation & Coordination

  • Track and follow up on government/institutional tender opportunities.
  • Coordinate with sales coordination team for timely documentation and submission.
  • Follow up on outcomes, approvals, and awarded contracts.


Out-of-Stock & Pending Orders

  • Maintain a list of out-of-stock and pending orders.
  • Regularly inform customers about stock status and expected availability.
  • Follow up with internal teams to expedite availability.


Delivery & Documentation

  • Ensure timely delivery of confirmed orders in coordination with logistics/distribution.
  • Collect and verify all delivery documentation, including:
  • Customer signature
  • Seal, stamp, or other customer acknowledgments
  • Escalate delays or delivery issues for resolution.


Reporting & Documentation

  • Submit daily visit reports, sales summaries, collection records, and customer communications to managers
  •  Maintain records for audit, compliance, and performance tracking.


Territory Management


  • Plan and execute customer visits effectively to optimize territory coverage.
  • Ensure product availability at wholesale/retail points.
  • Coordinate for restocking and backorder fulfillment.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Pharmacy, or related field
  • 1–3 years’ experience in field sales (preferably pharmaceutical or FMCG)
  • Strong communication, follow-up, and coordination skill
  • Fluency in English and local languages
  • Detail-oriented and result-driven
