We are seeking a self driven sales associate to identify and secure wholesale buyers for chili peppers grown on our farm. If you have experience selling to grocery stores, restaurants, or food manufacturers and can deliver strong sales numbers, this role will become a full-time position with benefits. Base plus commission offered.

As sales associate, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new wholesale buyer accounts for the chili peppers grown on our farm. This includes contacting potential buyers, pitching our products, negotiating wholesale pricing/terms, and closing deals. The ideal candidate will have experience selling to grocery stores, restaurants, food manufacturers, or other wholesale buyers in the food industry. This role will start as a contract based sales role, but will immediately become a full-time position with benefits upon achieving key milestones.
- Proven experience selling food products, produce or agricultural goods to wholesale buyers
- Existing relationships and contacts with grocery store and restaurant produce buyers is a plus
- Ability to cold call potential new accounts and deliver compelling sales pitches
- Strong negotiation, communication and presentation abilities
- Persistence to follow-up with leads to drive deals towards closing
- Familiarity with the chili pepper market and competitive landscape
- Capacity to travel locally/regionally to visit buyers and accounts
- Motivated by a commission-based compensation structure and able to work autonomously
- If role becomes full-time, must have capacity to meet core business hour expectations
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required with applicable sales experience
