Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of contracts, including details regarding quantities of required material
- Undertaking feasibility studies of projects.
- Analyzing completed works of sub-contractors and arranging for payment Site visits, for the assessments and projections for future work on running projects
- Prepare cost analysis based on the architectural drawings, engineering estimates, materials required, and labor involved
- Prepare cost plans to enable design teams to produce practical designs for construction projects, which involves liaising with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
- Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and, where appropriate, negotiate with the contractors.
- Control all stages of projects within predetermined budget and expenditure.
- Monitor and keep track of project progress and be responsible for measuring and valuing variations in the work during the contract, for agreement of interim payments, and the final account.
- Work as part of a team to ensure that the clients requirements are delivered.
- Undertake any other responsibilities when required.
Tasks:
Basic Tasks Include
- Preparing material schedules based on drawings
- Preparing and pricing bills of quantities
- Liaising with vendors to acquire competitive pricing
- Creating a database of vendors and prices for common installation items
- Ensuring all required approvals are obtained on MEP design before the commencement of MEP works at the site.
- Assisting in procuring MEP technical specifications and submittals for projects
- Assist in verifying electrical bills of quantities
- Preparing subcontractor work valuations and payment certificates
- Monitoring project expenditure to assist in determining project profitability
- Receiving weekly reports from the site and compiling them into a coherent department report
- Assisting in preparing project programs
Qualification:
- A Degree in a Related Program from a reputable institution
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project software
- Ability to work and produce quality results under pressure
- Ability to learn and adapt to multi-cultural environments
- Good communication and interpersonal relation skills
