Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of contracts, including details regarding quantities of required material
  • Undertaking feasibility studies of projects.
  • Analyzing completed works of sub-contractors and arranging for payment Site visits, for the assessments and projections for future work on running projects
  • Prepare cost analysis based on the architectural drawings, engineering estimates, materials required, and labor involved
  • Prepare cost plans to enable design teams to produce practical designs for construction projects, which involves liaising with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
  • Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and, where appropriate, negotiate with the contractors.
  • Control all stages of projects within predetermined budget and expenditure.
  • Monitor and keep track of project progress and be responsible for measuring and valuing variations in the work during the contract, for agreement of interim payments, and the final account.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure that the clients requirements are delivered.
  • Undertake any other responsibilities when required.



Tasks:

Basic Tasks Include

  • Preparing material schedules based on drawings
  • Preparing and pricing bills of quantities
  • Liaising with vendors to acquire competitive pricing
  • Creating a database of vendors and prices for common installation items
  • Ensuring all required approvals are obtained on MEP design before the commencement of MEP works at the site.
  • Assisting in procuring MEP technical specifications and submittals for projects
  • Assist in verifying electrical bills of quantities
  • Preparing subcontractor work valuations and payment certificates
  • Monitoring project expenditure to assist in determining project profitability
  • Receiving weekly reports from the site and compiling them into a coherent department report
  • Assisting in preparing project programs



Qualification:

  • A Degree in a Related Program from a reputable institution
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project software
  • Ability to work and produce quality results under pressure
  • Ability to learn and adapt to multi-cultural environments
  • Good communication and interpersonal relation skills
