Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager (Packaging)
Department: Administration
Reports To: CEO
Location: Tema
Employment Type: Full-Time
Role Summary:
The job holder is to co-ordinate the implementation of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Operation standards as well as applicable standards to ensure organizational goals are met to satisfy clients need. Oversees the quality control team or personally inspects and samples all production in various stages of work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
§ Address quality and methods improvement through support of ISO procedures.
§ Takes corrective and preventive actions or measures well documented and communicated to all departments.
§ Prepare a weekly and monthly review of performance and report same to the CEO.
§ Maintain a register of all key equipment or items within the department.
§ Conduct regular assessments and team sessions in areas of non -value added activities that require improvements.
§ Lead quarterly sessions to review Value Stream Maps.
§ Meet with production staff to work out the root cause of the problem and make suggestions to changes or improvement in current processes.
§ Diagnose technical problems related to the products and communicate findings to the product developer for correction.
§ Performing tests and implements statistics and process control tools
§ Oversee product recalls when product fail.
§ Maintain continuous product or service quality by implementing process controls, carrying out data analysis and device measurement.
§ Aids HR in recruiting quality control officers should need be, to ensure best candidates are selected.
§ Make sure the company is working as effective as possible
Key Performance Indicators:
· Ability to escape defects in analyzing quality of product in the testing phase.
· Efficient management of daily noticeable issues and fixed immediately
· Proactively manages quality processes to avoid defects from reoccurring.
· Not compromising on quality no matter how little it is.

Qualifications & Key Competencies:
§ Minimum of a first degree in Engineering, Business or any related field.
§ Minimum of 8 years’ experience in quality management.
§ A strong focus on process and a desire to work with cross-functional teams.
§ Strong communication, analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
§ Ability to be self-motivated, enthusiastic, learn quickly and work well within a team environment.
